The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is the factory-original flame-rectification rod for the Amana/Goodman AMEH800805DXAB gas furnace. It confirms burner ignition by carrying a microamp flame-rectification signal to the control board. A dirty, cracked, or worn flame sensor is the single most common cause of short-cycling and ignition lockout, where the furnace lights and then shuts off after a few seconds.
OEM sensors use the correct rod length, alloy, and porcelain insulator so the flame signal stays within the control board's threshold. Generic sensors may produce a weak or unstable microamp reading, leading to intermittent lockouts even when the burner is lit. For reliable ignition, the OEM rod is the better long-term value.
Easy — 1 of 5. Power off, remove one mounting screw, unplug the wire, and install the new sensor. Handle the rod by the base only. A 10–15 minute repair for most DIYers; verify a clean, steady ignition afterward.
