The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor for the AMEH800805DNAA gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. The flame sensor uses flame rectification to confirm the burner has actually lit; if it cannot detect flame, the control board shuts off the gas valve as a safety measure. A dirty or failing flame sensor is one of the most common causes of furnace short-cycling — the burner lights, runs a few seconds, then shuts down repeatedly.
Flame sensors depend on a stable micro-amp signal to the control board. Cheap generic rods can produce a weak or noisy signal, leading to intermittent lockouts even when the flame is present. This OEM Goodman flame sensor delivers the exact rod length, position, and material for a reliable flame signal on AMEH-series furnaces.
Easy. Usually one screw and a single wire connector. Cut power first, unplug the wire, remove the screw, and install the new sensor without touching the rod with bare fingers. Estimated time: 10–15 minutes.
Shut off electrical power before servicing. If unsure, consult a licensed HVAC professional.
