The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification sensor for the Amana/Goodman AMEH800805CNAA gas furnace. The sensor rod sits in the burner flame and confirms ignition to the control board via microamp flame current. When the sensor is dirty or failing, the furnace lights and then shuts down after a few seconds — the classic short-cycling / no-heat symptom. Replacing a corroded sensor restores reliable ignition and continuous heating cycles.
This OEM sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and bracket geometry so it positions precisely in the flame and reads a stable microamp signal. Generic sensors can sit at the wrong depth or degrade quickly, causing intermittent lockouts. For dependable flame proving, the factory part is worth the small premium.
Easy (1/5). Cut power, remove one mounting screw, unplug the spade terminal, and install the new sensor — under 10 minutes. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers; handle by the bracket to keep oils off the sensing surface.
