The 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor engineered for the Goodman/Amana AMEC961004CNAD gas furnace. The flame sensor confirms the presence of a burner flame through flame rectification; if the control board does not detect the micro-amp signal within the trial-for-ignition window, it shuts off the gas valve for safety. A dirty, cracked, or corroded flame rod is the single most common cause of short-cycling and "ignites then shuts off" furnace faults.
This is a true OEM Goodman part, guaranteeing correct rod length, mounting bracket geometry, and terminal fit for a plug-and-play install. Generic universal flame sensors can work but often require bending the rod or adapting the terminal, which risks an intermittent flame signal. For a furnace as spec-sensitive as the AMEC961004CNAD, the OEM sensor is the safest choice.
A single screw and one push-on wire terminal. Power down the furnace, remove the burner-compartment access panel, unscrew the sensor, transfer the wire, and reinstall. Typically a 10-minute job. Always cut power at the disconnect before servicing.
