The Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is a genuine OEM flame-rectification rod for the AMEC960603ANAB gas furnace. This sensor confirms to the control board that a flame is present after ignition; when it degrades or becomes coated with oxide buildup, the furnace lights briefly then shuts down — the classic short-cycling / flame-loss lockout that leaves you with no heat.
This genuine OEM sensor uses the correct rod alloy, length, and bracket bend to sit precisely in the flame path and produce a strong, stable signal. Generic sensors often mis-position in the flame or generate a weak microamp reading, causing intermittent lockouts. For reliable flame proving, OEM is worth it.
Rating: Easy (2/5). Shut off gas and power. Remove the burner-compartment panel, unplug the single sensor wire, remove the mounting screw, and install the new sensor. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers (oils reduce conductivity). Reconnect and restore power. Typical time: 10–15 minutes — one of the most satisfying no-heat fixes a homeowner can do.
Restore dependable ignition and eliminate flame-loss lockouts with the exact OEM flame sensor.
