The genuine Goodman 0130F00010S Flame Sensor is the OEM flame-rectification rod for the Goodman ACVM971005CNAA furnace and compatible models. Mounted at the burner, it carries a microamp signal through the flame to confirm ignition; if the control board doesn't detect that signal within the trial-for-ignition window, it locks out the gas valve as a safety measure. A dirty, oxidized, or cracked flame sensor is the single most common cause of a furnace that lights briefly and then shuts off (short-cycling on flame failure).
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, bend, and alloy to sit precisely in the flame envelope and produce a strong, stable microamp signal. Generic rods often sit too high or low in the flame, causing weak signal and intermittent lockouts. For reliable flame proving, fit OEM.
Easy (1/5). Cut power and gas, remove the burner panel, unscrew the single mounting screw, slide off the wire connector, and install the new rod. Roughly 10 minutes. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers to prevent contamination.
