The Goodman 0130F00010S is a genuine OEM flame sensor designed for the ACV90704CXBB high-efficiency furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana models. This flame-rectification rod confirms to the control board that the burners actually lit after ignition. When the sensor becomes coated with oxide or carbon buildup, it can no longer detect the flame, so the board closes the gas valve as a safety measure — producing the classic symptom of a furnace that lights briefly and then shuts off (short cycling) before locking out.
This genuine Goodman OEM sensor uses the correct rod length and mounting geometry to sit precisely in the burner flame, delivering a strong, stable microamp signal. Generic flame rods often mount at the wrong depth or angle, producing weak readings that cause intermittent lockouts. Because this part is a safety interlock, the exact OEM fit is the smart replacement.
Easy (DIY-friendly). Power down the furnace, remove the burner door, pull the single wire off the sensor, and unscrew the one mounting screw. Install the new sensor, reconnect the wire, and restore power. Most installs take 10–15 minutes. Tip: replacing the sensor also resolves most cases that a simple cleaning only fixes temporarily.
