The Goodman 0130F00010S flame sensor is the flame-rectification probe for the ACEC960803BNAA gas furnace. It verifies that burners actually ignite by sensing the microamp current that flows through an established flame. If the control board doesn't detect flame within seconds, it closes the gas valve for safety. A dirty, oxidized, or cracked flame sensor is the #1 cause of furnaces that light then immediately shut off (ignition lockout / short cycling).
The genuine 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, ceramic insulator, and mounting bracket for reliable signal strength on this furnace's ignition control. Generic rods may sit at the wrong flame position and produce weak microamp readings, leading to intermittent lockouts. OEM delivers consistent flame sensing.
Easy (1/5). Power off, unplug the sensor wire, remove one screw, and install the new rod. A 10-minute job that resolves most no-heat short-cycle complaints.
