The Goodman 0163M00049 Hose Clamp is a genuine OEM fastener used throughout the AMVC960804CNAA furnace's condensate and drain-hose routing, as well as on pressure-switch tubing connections. This small part does an important job: it holds hoses securely on their barbed fittings so the sealed-combustion system maintains proper pressure and drains without leaks.
Over years of heating and cooling cycles, clamps can lose tension or corrode, allowing a hose to weep condensate or leak the pressure signal the control board relies on. Replacing worn clamps during any drain-system or pressure-switch service is cheap insurance against nuisance lockouts and water damage.
The OEM 0163M00049 is sized to the exact hose and barb diameters used on Goodman condensing furnaces, giving consistent clamping force without crushing the tube. Generic hardware-store clamps vary in band width and tension and can pinch or under-clamp soft silicone hoses. For a few cents more, the factory clamp fits right.
Very Easy — 1 of 5. Slide the old clamp off (or cut it), position the hose fully onto the fitting, and secure the new clamp. A 2–5 minute job with pliers or a nut driver. Always confirm the hose is seated past the barb before clamping.
