The Goodman 0163M00049 is an OEM hose clamp used to secure condensate, drain, and pressure-switch tubing connections on furnaces such as the AMSS920603BNAA. Though small, a proper clamp keeps drain and sensing hoses sealed under vibration and thermal cycling. A loose or degraded clamp can allow condensate leaks or air leaks that trip the pressure switch and cause intermittent no-heat faults.
The genuine Goodman clamp is pre-sized to the factory tubing OD, so it grips without over-crushing or under-sealing the hose. Off-the-shelf hardware-store clamps are often the wrong diameter or too aggressive, pinching or cutting the tubing over time. OEM ensures a correct, repeatable seal.
