The Goodman 0130M00105 is a factory-original defrost thermostat engineered for the ASZ130361AB and compatible Goodman/Amana 13 SEER heat pump condensing units. Mounted to the outdoor coil, this temperature-sensing switch tells the defrost control board when frost has built up on the coil and when the coil is clear again, so your heat pump defrosts on demand and returns to heating without wasting a cycle. A failed defrost thermostat is one of the most common causes of an iced-over outdoor unit and weak winter heating.
