The Goodman 20171701 condensate drain trap is a genuine OEM replacement engineered for the ACVC950915DXBA high-efficiency gas furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana 95% AFUE models. On condensing furnaces the drain trap captures acidic condensate produced in the secondary heat exchanger and routes it safely to the drain while maintaining the pressure seal that keeps flue gases out of your living space. A cracked, clogged, or aged trap is one of the most common causes of pressure-switch lockouts and water leaks on the burner deck.
This is the factory OEM trap — molded to exact port spacing and seal tolerances so it mates with the furnace inducer and drain lines without adapters. Generic universal traps often require trimming or extra fittings and can leak under negative pressure. For warranty-sensitive and code-compliant repairs, OEM is the safer choice.
