The Goodman 0161F00046 Condensate Drain Trap is a genuine OEM part for the AMVC961005DNAA high-efficiency (90%+) condensing gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. In a condensing furnace, the secondary heat exchanger produces acidic condensate that must drain away while the trap maintains a water seal that blocks flue gases from escaping into the cabinet. A cracked, clogged, or dried-out trap causes water leaks, pressure-switch faults, and lockouts.
