The Goodman 0161F00046 is a genuine OEM condensate drain trap engineered for the Amana AMES960603BUAB modulating gas furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana high-efficiency models. In a 96% AFUE condensing furnace, the secondary heat exchanger produces acidic condensate that must drain freely while the trap holds a water seal to block combustion flue gases from escaping into the cabinet. This factory trap is molded to the exact port geometry and drain angle the AMES960 series requires.
