The Goodman 0161F00046 Condensate Drain Trap is a genuine OEM drainage component for the Goodman ACSS920804CNAA high-efficiency gas furnace and compatible models. In a condensing furnace, acidic condensate forms in the secondary heat exchanger and must drain freely while maintaining a proper water seal. This trap routes that condensate away and prevents flue gases from escaping or pressure-switch readings from drifting. A cracked, clogged, or missing trap is a frequent cause of pressure-switch lockouts, water leaks, and intermittent furnace shutdowns.
The genuine Goodman OEM trap is molded to the exact port sizes, seal height, and mounting geometry of your furnace's drainage system. Generic or universal traps often require adapters and can produce an incorrect water column, leading to pressure-switch faults. OEM bolts in and seals correctly the first time.
Moderate. Power off the furnace, disconnect the condensate hoses and pressure-switch tubing, remove the old trap, and fit the new one with fresh clamps. Prime the trap with water before restart. Plan on 20–30 minutes; keep a towel handy for residual condensate.
