During normal operation a 95%+ AFUE furnace produces acidic condensate that must be routed safely away from the heat exchanger and inducer assembly. This factory drain tube maintains the correct routing, bend radius, and slip-fit connection so condensate flows freely to the trap and drain without leaks or blockages.
Genuine OEM 20201802 tubing is molded to Goodman's exact length and diameter, so it seats correctly on the inducer and trap fittings the first time.
