The Goodman B1370820 Blower Door Interlock Switch is a genuine OEM safety switch with pre-attached wire leads, built for the GMPV100-5 gas furnace. This plunger-style switch sits on the blower compartment and cuts power to the furnace whenever the blower access door is removed. It prevents the unit from operating with the door open — protecting service technicians and ensuring proper combustion-air sealing. A furnace that is completely dead but has good incoming power is often traced to a stuck, broken, or missing door switch.
The OEM B1370820 ships with the correct wire harness and connectors already installed, so it plugs in without splicing. Generic door switches usually require you to cut and crimp your own leads and may not seat correctly against the panel. The OEM part is the faster, cleaner repair.
Roughly a 15–20 minute job. Disconnect furnace power, unplug the two lead connectors, release the old switch from its bracket, snap in the replacement, and reconnect. Confirm the door depresses the plunger fully when reinstalled so the furnace energizes correctly.
