The 0130F00010S flame sensor is a factory-original flame-rectification rod that proves the presence of a burner flame to the furnace control board on Goodman and Amana gas furnaces. Using microamp rectification, it tells the board that ignition succeeded so the gas valve can stay open. A dirty, corroded, or failed flame sensor is one of the most common causes of furnace short-cycling and intermittent no-heat calls. This part is a direct-fit replacement for the AMEC961004CNAC and related AMEC-series models.
The OEM 0130F00010S uses the correct rod length, alloy, and ceramic insulator to deliver a stable, in-spec flame-current signal to the control board. Generic sensors frequently produce a weak or noisy signal, causing continued nuisance lockouts even when they physically fit. For dependable ignition proving, genuine OEM is recommended.
Rating: Easy (2/5). Shut off power, remove one mounting screw and the sensor wire, install the new rod, and reconnect. About 10 minutes. Avoid touching the rod with bare fingers, and route the wire away from ground to preserve a clean flame signal.
