The 0130F00010S flame sensor is the factory-specified flame-proving rod for the Goodman/Amana AMS80453ANAA gas furnace and many compatible 80% AFUE multi-position models. The flame sensor confirms the burners have lit by generating a small microamp rectification signal; when it fails, the control board shuts the gas valve within seconds, causing short-cycling or a furnace that lights then drops out. Replacing a corroded or cracked sensor is the single most common fix for intermittent no-heat calls.
Our OEM Goodman/Amana sensor matches factory rod length, insulator geometry, and terminal orientation for a true drop-in fit and correct flame signal strength. Generic universal sensors often require bending the rod or adapting terminals, which can lower the microamp reading and trigger nuisance lockouts. For dependable flame proving, we recommend OEM.
Easy (1/5) — Cut power, remove one mounting screw, unplug the spade terminal, swap, and reinstall. Wipe the new rod with a clean cloth (never sandpaper) before first light. Typical time: 10–15 minutes. No specialty tools required.
