This genuine OEM Goodman/Amana flame sensor (part 0130F00010S) is a direct-fit replacement for the AMH80803BNAA 80% AFUE gas furnace. The flame sensor sits in the burner flame and uses flame rectification to confirm ignition — if it becomes coated in oxide or cracks, the control board shuts down the burners and your furnace short-cycles or fails to stay lit. Replacing this inexpensive part is the most common fix for a furnace that lights briefly then shuts off.
The genuine OEM sensor uses the correct rod length, alloy, and terminal geometry so the microamp signal reads within the control board's proving window. Generic aftermarket sensors are cheaper but often produce a weak or out-of-range flame signal, leading to nuisance lockouts. For reliable operation on the AMH80803BNAA we recommend the OEM part.
Easy (1/5) — Remove one mounting screw, pull the spade terminal, and swap in the new sensor. No special tools required beyond a nut driver. Always cut power to the furnace before servicing. Typical time: 10–15 minutes.
