The Goodman 20197311 is an OEM air-proving pressure switch calibrated at -0.60 inches of water column (WC) in a normally open (NO) configuration, built for the GCH91155DXAB and related condensing gas furnaces. The switch senses negative pressure created by the inducer blower and closes to prove adequate draft before the control board allows ignition. If the venting, drain trap, or inducer is restricted, the switch stays open and safely blocks the burners.
Pressure switches must match the furnace's exact set point — a generic switch rated even 0.05" WC off will either nuisance-trip or fail to prove a real venting fault, defeating a critical safety interlock. The genuine OEM 20197311 is factory-calibrated to -0.60" WC so the furnace ignites reliably and shuts down correctly when draft is lost.
Easy — cut power, unplug the two spade terminals, transfer the sensing hose, and mount the new switch. Always confirm the hose is clear of condensate and the trap is primed, since a blocked hose mimics a failed switch.
