The Goodman B1370145 is a genuine OEM flame rollout limit switch rated to trip at 300°F, engineered for the AMS81155CXA gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. Mounted near the burner box, this manual-reset safety device opens the control circuit and shuts down the furnace if flames roll out of the combustion chamber—protecting the equipment and your home from overheating.
A tripped or failed rollout switch is a common cause of no-heat conditions. If the switch has opened repeatedly, replacing it with the correct OEM part restores safe operation, but the underlying cause (blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger, or dirty burners) should always be inspected.
OEM vs. Generic: The genuine Goodman switch is calibrated to the exact 300°F trip point and terminal spacing your furnace's wiring harness expects. Generic equivalents cost less and fit most applications, but trip tolerances and bracket geometry can vary. For a safety-critical limit, we strongly recommend OEM.
Install Difficulty: Easy (2/5). Disconnect power, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and swap in the new switch. A basic nut driver is the only tool needed.
