The Goodman B4022700 3-Inch In-Shot Burner is a genuine OEM replacement burner for AMVC80604BNCA two-stage variable-speed gas furnaces and compatible Goodman/Amana models. In-shot burners deliver the metered gas/air mixture into the heat-exchanger tubes for clean, efficient combustion. One burner is used per heat-exchanger cell, so units typically use several matched burners across the manifold.
Over time burners can rust, warp, or develop clogged ports, producing lazy or yellow flames, delayed ignition, flame rollout, or short-cycling on the flame sensor. Installing the correct OEM burner restores a crisp blue flame and stable, quiet ignition.
OEM vs. Generic: Burner geometry, port pattern, and mounting slot are precisely engineered to match the furnace manifold spacing and orifice alignment.
