The B4022700 is a genuine Goodman 3-inch in-shot burner that directs the natural-gas flame into the heat-exchanger tube for efficient, stable combustion. It is a direct-fit replacement for the AMS81405DNBC gas furnace and is used across many single- and multi-stage Goodman and Amana furnaces. Rusted, warped, or carbon-clogged burners cause rough ignition, flame rollout, and poor flame-sensor readings — replacing worn burners restores clean blue-flame lighting across the manifold.
Genuine OEM burners are stamped to the correct venturi throat and port pattern so the flame carries evenly from burner to burner. Generic burners often mismeter the air/gas mix, causing lazy yellow flames and delayed cross-lighting. Replace the full set at once for uniform combustion.
