The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control engineered for the GMPE125-5A gas furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana models. This normally-closed thermal switch opens the control circuit if the blower compartment or heat-exchanger area exceeds its 120°F cutout temperature, protecting the furnace from overheating due to restricted airflow, a dirty filter, or blower failure. When temperatures return to safe levels, the switch automatically resets and restores normal operation.
Choosing the genuine OEM B1370155 guarantees the exact cutout temperature, terminal orientation, and mounting bracket your furnace's control board expects. Aftermarket universal limits often carry the wrong trip point or bracket profile, which can cause nuisance lockouts or fail to protect the heat exchanger. For a safety-critical control, we recommend the OEM part.
Easy (1 of 5). Most DIY-capable homeowners can swap this switch in 10–15 minutes with a nut driver and needle-nose pliers. Always disconnect power at the breaker before servicing. Photograph the wiring, transfer the two spade connectors, and mount the switch in the original location. If you are unsure, consult a licensed HVAC technician.
