The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control designed for the GMNT080-4B gas furnace and other compatible Goodman/Amana models. This normally-closed thermal switch opens at approximately 120°F to interrupt the burner circuit if it detects abnormal heat, protecting your furnace against overheating, flame rollout, and restricted airflow conditions.
This is the factory OEM part — calibrated to the exact trip point your furnace's control board expects, ensuring correct safety operation and preserving equipment warranty coverage. Generic aftermarket limit switches may vary in trip temperature and mounting, risking nuisance lockouts or unsafe operation. For a life-safety component, we recommend OEM.
Easy (2/5). Replacement typically takes 15–20 minutes with basic hand tools. Cut power at the disconnect, note wire positions, unscrew the switch from the burner assembly or vestibule panel, transfer the spade connectors, and remount. Always verify furnace operation and check for flame rollout after installation. If you are unfamiliar with gas furnace safety controls, consult a licensed HVAC technician.
