The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is an OEM overheat-protection control for the DMS80904BNA furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. Positioned near the blower deck, this auto-reset switch opens at 120°F to interrupt the heating cycle when airflow across the heat exchanger is restricted — protecting components from thermal damage caused by a dirty filter, blocked returns, or a failing blower.
Genuine OEM switches are calibrated to the exact temperature and reset behavior your furnace's control board expects. Generic substitutes with the wrong trip point can cause short-cycling or fail to protect the unit. Because this is a safety limit, we recommend OEM for reliable, code-correct operation.
Easy (1/5). Disconnect furnace power, note the two wire terminals, remove the mounting screw(s), and install the replacement in the same orientation. Typical replacement time is 10–15 minutes. Repeated tripping usually points to an airflow problem — check the filter and blower before assuming a bad switch.
