The Goodman B1370155 Auxiliary Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control designed for the AMS81155CNA gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. This normally-closed thermal switch opens the control circuit when it senses an over-temperature condition of 120°F, shutting down the furnace to prevent heat-exchanger and cabinet damage. It is a critical, code-required safety device — a failed or bypassed limit switch is a fire and carbon-monoxide hazard.
This is the factory-original Goodman part, calibrated to the exact 120°F set point your furnace board expects. Generic aftermarket switches often carry loose temperature tolerances that cause nuisance shutdowns or, worse, delayed tripping. For a safety-critical control, OEM is strongly recommended over a universal substitute.
Easy (2/5). Two-wire spade connection with a single mounting screw. Always shut off power and gas before servicing. If you are unsure why the original tripped, have a licensed HVAC technician diagnose the root cause before replacing.
Note: This is a genuine OEM Goodman replacement part. National HVAC Parts is not affiliated with or endorsed by Goodman Manufacturing.
