The genuine Goodman 20197308 pressure switch is an OEM air-proving (draft) switch calibrated to -0.10 inches of water column (WC) with a normally open (NO) contact. It confirms proper induced-draft airflow before the furnace allows ignition, and it is a direct fit for the GMV951155DXBA two-stage variable-speed condensing furnace and related GMV9-series models.
Pressure switches are calibration-critical. The OEM 20197308 is factory-set to the exact -.10 WC trip point your furnace's control board expects. A generic switch with a slightly different set point or contact type can cause nuisance lockouts, delayed ignition, or a furnace that never fires. Because this component is a safety device, we strongly recommend the OEM part over a universal substitute.
Easy to Moderate (2 of 5). Replacement involves disconnecting the pressure tubing and two spade terminals, then mounting the new switch in the same orientation. Verify the hose is free of condensate and the port faces correctly. Test for proper ignition sequence after installation. If lockout codes persist, have a licensed technician inspect the inducer and venting.
Replacing a stuck-open or drifted pressure switch restores reliable ignition and clears common furnace fault codes.
