The Goodman 20197308 Pressure Switch is a genuine OEM -0.10" WC normally-open (NO) draft-proving safety switch for the AMVC950453BXAE 96% AFUE two-stage variable-speed gas furnace. It monitors the negative pressure created by the inducer or venting system and closes to signal the control board that draft is adequate before ignition is allowed.
A drifting or stuck pressure switch is one of the most common no-heat failures. Symptoms include ignition lockouts, error codes for pressure-switch faults, and a furnace that runs the inducer but never lights. Installing the correctly rated -0.10" WC switch restores safe, dependable operation.
OEM vs. Generic: The -0.10" setpoint and normally-open contact configuration are specific to this furnace's venting design. Our OEM Goodman 20197308 is factory-calibrated to trip at the exact pressure the control board expects. Generic switches with the wrong setpoint or contact type can bypass a safety or cause false lockouts — not worth the risk on a combustion-safety part.
Installation difficulty: Easy (2/5). Power down the furnace, note the hose and wire positions, transfer the tubing and spade terminals to the new switch, and mount it. Verify continuity with a meter on a call for heat. Typically a 10–15 minute repair.
