The Goodman 20197308 Pressure Switch is a factory-original combustion air-proving control for the Goodman GMH951155DXAF 96% AFUE two-stage gas furnace. This normally-open switch closes at approximately -0.10 inches of water column to verify the inducer motor is pulling adequate draft before the control board allows ignition. If the switch fails to close — from a weak inducer, blocked vent, clogged drain, or a bad switch — the furnace locks out and will not fire, a common no-heat complaint.
The OEM 20197308 is the genuine Goodman switch calibrated to the exact -.10" set point and hose-port orientation for reliable, code-correct ignition sequencing. The generic equivalent matches the set point and terminals at a lower price for cost-sensitive repairs. Because set point accuracy is safety-critical, OEM is recommended for pressure switches.
Easy (2/5). Remove one or two mounting screws, transfer the two spade wires and the silicone sensing hose, then reinstall. About 15 minutes. Verify the hose is clear and seated. Cut power at the breaker before servicing.
