The Goodman 0130F00438 Combination Pressure Switch is a genuine OEM safety control designed for Amana / Goodman 96% AFUE gas furnaces, including the AMES961205DNAA. This dual pressure switch monitors both inducer draft and condensate/vent conditions, proving proper airflow before the control board allows ignition. A failing switch is one of the most common causes of a furnace that clicks but will not light, or that locks out on a flashing fault code.
This is a factory-original Goodman part built to the exact trip pressures the furnace control board expects. Generic aftermarket switches often use approximate setpoints that can cause nuisance lockouts or short cycling. Choose OEM when you need guaranteed calibration and reliable safety operation; a generic may save a few dollars but is not pressure-matched to this specific furnace platform.
Moderate (2/5). Replacement involves disconnecting two hoses and two spade terminals, then swapping the switch — typically 15–20 minutes. Always shut off power and gas first. If you are unsure of the correct hose routing, note or photograph the original connections before removal.
