The Goodman B1370107 is a genuine OEM negative-pressure (draft-proving) switch built for the GUN050-2B gas furnace. This normally-open switch monitors the vacuum created by the inducer/draft motor and closes at a -1.4 inch water-column setpoint to confirm safe venting before the ignition sequence begins. If the flue is blocked, the inducer is weak, or a hose is cracked, the switch stays open and locks out the burner — protecting your home from carbon-monoxide spillage.
The OEM B1370107 is calibrated to the exact -1.4" WC trip point specified for this furnace, which is critical for a safety device — an incorrectly rated switch can nuisance-trip or, worse, allow ignition under unsafe draft. Our generic-equivalent is matched to the same setpoint and terminal layout at a lower cost; for a pressure switch we generally recommend the OEM given its safety role.
Rating: Easy (2/5). Disconnect power, unplug the two wire leads and the rubber pressure hose, remove the mounting screws, and reverse for the new switch. Verify the hose is clear of condensate and seated firmly. Takes about 10-15 minutes with a nut driver.
