The Goodman 20197312 is a genuine OEM air-proving pressure switch engineered for the Amana AMH950703BXAB 96% AFUE, 70,000 BTU gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana multi-position models. This normally open (NO) switch monitors draft-inducer negative pressure and closes at -0.37" water column, verifying safe venting before the control board energizes the igniter. A failed or drifting switch is the most common cause of a furnace that clicks but won't light.
The genuine OEM switch is calibrated to the exact -0.37" WC trip point specified by Goodman for this furnace's venting design. Generic aftermarket switches often use a nearby set point (e.g., -0.40" WC), which can cause nuisance lockouts or, worse, fail to prove a blocked vent. Choose OEM for guaranteed calibration and factory reliability.
Difficulty: Easy (1/5). Power off the furnace, photograph the wiring, transfer the two spade terminals and the pressure hose to the new switch, and mount to the same bracket. Typical replacement takes 10–15 minutes. Always verify the tubing is clear of condensate before testing.
Backed by direct-fit OEM quality for National HVAC Parts customers.
