The Goodman 20197308 Pressure Switch is a genuine OEM air-proving switch for GMV951155DXBB 96% AFUE two-stage, variable-speed gas furnaces. This normally-open (NO) switch closes on a -0.10" water-column pressure drop, proving draft during low-stage (first-stage) operation before the control board permits ignition. Because two-stage furnaces use separate switches for each firing rate, a faulty low-stage switch can cause the furnace to fail on gentle first-stage calls while still firing on high stage — an intermittent no-heat symptom that's easy to misdiagnose.
The low -0.10" set point demands a precisely calibrated switch. This OEM part holds Goodman's exact trip pressure; generic equivalents commonly drift at such low pressures, producing nuisance lockouts on the lighter first-stage draft. OEM is recommended for consistent two-stage operation.
Easy (2/5). A quick 15-minute swap — power down, move the hose and spade wires to the new switch, and mount. Confirm the -0.10" rating and low-stage position match your old switch before installing; a manometer check afterward is best practice.
