The Goodman 20197308 is an OEM air-proving pressure switch built for the GMV950905DXBA two-stage variable-speed gas furnace. This normally-open (NO) switch closes at a negative pressure of -0.10 inches of water column (WC), proving inducer airflow on the low-fire (first-stage) heating cycle. On two-stage condensing furnaces the low-fire and high-fire stages each rely on their own trip point, so this switch works alongside the higher-pressure switch to guarantee safe venting before ignition.
OEM vs. Generic: Because -0.10" WC is a very low, precise trip pressure, an out-of-spec generic switch will chatter or fail to prove low-fire, leaving you stuck on high-fire or in lockout. The genuine Goodman 20197308 is factory-calibrated to your control board's expectations. Choose OEM for dependable staging; a verified generic is offered as a lower-cost option.
Install difficulty: Easy (2 of 5). Cut power and gas, photograph tubing and wiring, move the hose and spade terminals to the new switch, and remount. No adjustment needed. Roughly 10–15 minutes.
Genuine Goodman quality. Verify your model number before purchase.
