The Goodman 20197308 is the OEM air-proving pressure switch for the GME950805CXAB high-efficiency gas furnace. This safety control verifies correct induced-draft airflow before the ignition sequence begins. Calibrated to a -0.10 inch water column set point and wired normally open (NO), the switch closes only when the inducer establishes proper negative pressure, then allows the board to energize the igniter and open the gas valve. A failed switch is a leading cause of no-heat calls and flashing-LED lockout codes.
Pressure switches are calibration-critical. The genuine Goodman 20197308 is factory-set to the exact -0.10" WC trip point and NO contact logic the GME950805CXAB control board expects. A generic switch with a different set point or contact state can allow unsafe firing or cause repeated lockouts. For a safety component, always fit the OEM switch.
Easy to Moderate (2 of 5). Cut power at the disconnect, photograph the tubing and wire routing, transfer the sensing hose and spade terminals to the new switch, and mount it in the original orientation. Allow 20–30 minutes. Because this is a combustion safety device, have a licensed HVAC technician verify operation if you are unsure.
