The genuine Goodman 10254303 rubber coupling provides a flexible, leak-tight connection between drain and condensate components on your AMV90704CXBB high-efficiency furnace. This durable elastomer sleeve joins tubes and fittings while absorbing minor vibration and allowing slight misalignment, sealing the condensate path so acidic water reaches the trap instead of leaking into the cabinet. Hardened or split couplings are an inexpensive but common cause of drips, corrosion, and pressure-switch faults.
Off-the-shelf rubber couplings may not match the exact inner diameter or wall thickness needed for a positive seal on the AMV9 drain fittings, and generic rubber can harden faster when exposed to condensate. The OEM 10254303 is sized and compounded for a long-lasting, leak-free fit.
