The Goodman B1370145 is a genuine 300°F flame rollout limit switch for GMTH090-5A gas furnaces. Mounted on the burner assembly, this manual-reset safety device opens the ignition circuit if flames roll out of the burner box or excessive heat is detected — protecting the cabinet, wiring, and your home from a blocked heat exchanger or restricted venting. When this switch trips, the furnace will not fire until the fault is corrected and the button is reset.
OEM vs. Generic: Because this is a life-safety component, the exact trip point and calibration matter. The genuine Goodman B1370145 is factory-calibrated to 300°F. Generic switches with the wrong trip temperature can either nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to trip when needed. We strongly recommend OEM for all safety limit devices.
Install difficulty: Easy (2/5). Disconnect power, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screw(s), and install the new switch in the same orientation. Reconnect and test. If the new switch trips again, diagnose the underlying overheating cause before returning the furnace to service.
