The Goodman B1370145 is a genuine 300°F manual-reset rollout limit switch for GMT115-5 series gas furnaces. This safety device sits near the burners and cuts power to the gas valve if flame rolls out of the combustion chamber — a serious condition usually caused by a blocked flue, cracked heat exchanger, or restricted airflow. A tripped or failed switch stops the furnace from firing.
Because this is a life-safety limit, the trip point must be exact. Our genuine Goodman switch is calibrated to open at the correct 300°F threshold. A generic switch with the wrong rating either nuisance-trips or, worse, fails to cut off during a real rollout event. Never substitute an off-spec safety control. Important: if the original switch tripped, diagnose and fix the root cause before replacing it.
Easy — about 15 minutes. Disconnect power, unplug the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and install the exact-match replacement in the same position. Test furnace operation and confirm the switch stays closed during a normal heat cycle.
