The Goodman 10716005 Natural Gas Orifice is a genuine OEM burner spud for the Amana/Goodman AMVM970803BNBA modulating variable-speed gas furnace. The orifice (spud) meters the precise volume of natural gas delivered to each burner, setting the fuel-air mixture that produces a clean, correctly sized flame. A worn, corroded, or wrong-size orifice causes poor combustion, sooting, delayed ignition, or incorrect firing rate.
OEM vs. Generic: Orifice bore size is engineered to the furnace's rated input BTU and manifold pressure.
