The 10716003 natural gas orifice is a genuine OEM burner spud precision-drilled for the Goodman/Amana AMH80904BNAB 80% AFUE gas furnace. The orifice meters the exact volume of natural gas delivered to each burner, setting the furnace's BTU input and ensuring a clean, efficient, correctly-sized flame. A worn, corroded, or wrong-size orifice causes poor combustion, sooting, delayed ignition, or incorrect firing rate.
The OEM 10716003 is drilled to the manufacturer's certified orifice diameter for this furnace's rated input. A generic or mis-drilled orifice changes the gas flow and can create unsafe over-firing or inefficient under-firing. Because orifice sizing is combustion-critical, we stock only the genuine factory spud.
Roughly 20–30 minutes. Shut off gas and power, remove the burner assembly or gas manifold, unthread the old orifice with a deep socket, install the new spud, and check for leaks with soap solution before relighting. Verify flame appearance after startup.
