The genuine Goodman 10716003 is the OEM natural gas burner orifice (spud) for the GMT090-4A gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana equipment. Threaded into the manifold ahead of each burner, the orifice meters the precise volume of natural gas delivered into the burner venturi. Correct orifice sizing is essential for a clean blue flame, rated BTU output, and safe, efficient combustion. A worn, corroded, or debris-clogged orifice causes lazy flames, sooting, and reduced heat — a simple, inexpensive part to keep in good condition.
The OEM 10716003 is drilled to Goodman's exact orifice number for this furnace's BTU rating and manifold pressure.
