The Goodman 10716003 is a factory-spec natural gas burner orifice engineered for the Goodman/Amana GMT115-5A gas furnace and compatible multi-position models. The orifice (spud) meters the flow of natural gas into each burner, controlling the flame size and ensuring the furnace fires at its rated BTU input. A worn, corroded, or debris-clogged orifice causes lazy yellow flames, delayed ignition, soot, or short-cycling — replacing it restores clean, efficient combustion.
