The Goodman 10716003 Natural Gas Orifice (burner spud) is a genuine OEM part for the GCV90704CXBA gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. The orifice threads into the manifold and meters the exact amount of natural gas delivered to each burner, setting the furnace's BTU input and ensuring a clean, correctly-sized flame. The drill size is calibrated for natural gas at standard manifold pressure — using the wrong size causes sooting, poor combustion, or an under-fired furnace.
