The Goodman 10123532 Manual Reset Limit Switch is the genuine OEM high-temperature safety for WGGE4330A070MAB gas package units and related Goodman/Amana furnaces. This normally-closed switch opens and cuts the gas valve if it senses excessive heat — a sign of flame rollout or a blocked heat exchanger — and stays open until you press the manual reset button. If your furnace has gone dead after overheating, a tripped manual-reset limit is the first thing to check.
This is a life-safety device with a specific trip temperature matched to the WGGE4330 heat exchanger. Generic limits with the wrong open temperature can trip early (nuisance lockouts) or, worse, trip late and allow dangerous overheating. Always use the OEM-rated switch here.
Easy — about 10–15 minutes. Cut power, note the two wire positions, slide off the spade terminals, unscrew the switch from the burner box or heat exchanger, and install the new one. Important: a limit that keeps tripping means an underlying problem — dirty filter, blocked flue, or cracked exchanger — so diagnose the cause. If it retrips, stop and call a licensed technician.
