The Goodman 10123533 is a manual reset high-limit safety switch engineered for the WGFM295070V4CAB two-stage/modulating gas furnace. It monitors heat-exchanger and plenum temperatures and interrupts the gas valve and burner circuit if the furnace overheats — a critical protection against restricted airflow, a failed blower, or a clogged filter. Because it is a manual reset design, it locks out after a trip and requires you to press the reset button, alerting you to an underlying problem rather than silently cycling.
This is a genuine OEM Goodman component built to the exact trip temperature and bracket geometry specified for your furnace, so it seats correctly and trips at the factory setpoint. Generic aftermarket limit switches often use approximate trip points and universal brackets that can nuisance-trip or fail to protect the heat exchanger. For a safety device, OEM is strongly recommended.
Easy (2/5). Turn off power and gas, remove the two mounting screws, transfer the spade connectors, and reinstall. Most homeowners with basic tools complete this in 10–15 minutes. If the switch keeps tripping after replacement, diagnose airflow and blower operation before running the furnace.
