The Goodman 10123529 Manual Reset Limit Switch is a genuine OEM high-temperature safety control that shuts off the gas valve if the furnace overheats or experiences flame rollout. It is a direct-fit replacement for the safety limit used on the Goodman GDH80403ANBB and other compatible 80% AFUE gas furnaces in the Goodman and Amana families. Because it requires a manual reset, a tripped switch signals that a fault occurred — restricted airflow, a dirty filter, or a blocked flue — and should be diagnosed, not just reset repeatedly. A failed or nuisance-tripping switch causes no-heat lockouts.
The genuine Goodman OEM limit switch is factory-set to the exact trip temperature your furnace was certified for. Generic switches with the wrong set point either nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to protect the heat exchanger. For a life-safety component, always use OEM.
Moderate (2/5). Cut power at the disconnect, disconnect the two spade terminals, remove the mounting screws, and install the replacement in the identical location and orientation. About 20 minutes. If the old switch tripped, find and correct the root cause before returning the furnace to service.
Compatibility note: confirm model/serial and switch temperature rating before ordering. Questions? info@nationalhvacparts.com.
