The Goodman 10123529 Manual Reset Limit Switch is a genuine OEM high-temperature safety control for the AMH80403AXBC gas furnace and compatible Goodman/Amana models. This manual-reset limit (commonly a flame-rollout or auxiliary high-limit switch) opens the control circuit and shuts down the furnace if it senses abnormal heat, such as flame rollout from a blocked heat exchanger or restricted venting. Because it is manual reset, it will not automatically re-close — a tripped switch signals a condition that should be inspected before the furnace is restarted.
The genuine OEM 10123529 is calibrated to the exact trip temperature your furnace requires. A generic switch with the wrong setpoint can nuisance-trip or, worse, fail to trip when it should — defeating a critical safety function. For any safety-rated control, OEM is strongly recommended.
Disconnect power, note wire positions, unscrew the two mounting screws, transfer the spade connectors, and mount the new switch. About 10–15 minutes. If the switch tripped, diagnose the root cause (blocked flue, dirty burners, cracked heat exchanger) before returning the unit to service.
Always disconnect power and gas before servicing. A tripped safety switch indicates a fault that should be evaluated by a licensed HVAC technician.
