The Goodman 10123529 Manual Reset Limit Switch is a genuine OEM safety control for Goodman and Amana ADVC80603BXBA gas furnaces. This normally-closed high-temperature limit opens the ignition circuit if it senses an overheat or flame-rollout condition, and it must be manually reset by pressing the button once the fault is cleared. A tripped or failed limit switch is a common cause of a furnace that ignites briefly then shuts down, or won't fire at all.
The OEM Goodman switch is calibrated to the exact trip temperature the ADVC furnace was engineered for. Because this is a life-safety limit that prevents overheating and flame rollout, substituting a generic switch with a different set point can allow unsafe operation or nuisance trips. OEM is strongly recommended and often required by code and warranty.
Easy. Typically two mounting screws and two spade terminals — plan 15 minutes. If the switch has tripped, always diagnose the root overheat cause (dirty filter, blocked flue, weak blower) before resetting. Shut off power and gas before servicing.
Fits Goodman and Amana ADVC80603BXBA furnaces. Confirm your model and part number before ordering.
